My name is Juwan Jasim Shro and I’m from Kurdistan region of Iraq. I currently live in Duhok. I am now working as Advocacy and Outreach Officer. I would describe myself as someone who is engaged.

I am currently working as the Advocacy and Outreach Officer at Yazda organization. And my main Main responsibilities are:

● Coordinate work with the Yazidi Survivors Network (YSN) and ensure link between Yazda team and the network
● Organize workshops, meetings, training for the YSN including taking care of the logistics
● Translate from Arabic or Sinjari-Kurmanji to English in meetings between YSN members and other survivors and partners
● Implement outreach campaigns in the affected community by informing them about legal cases and giving them updates about legal investigations and cases.
● Support implementation of media coverage of legal advocacy work
● Monitors ISIS related information on English media outlets and shares relevant findings with the documentation team.
● Any other assignment

I graduated from Naweoz University/ College of Languages/ Department of Translation-Morning Classes. I have been granted a B.A. Degree in Translation with grade (Very Good) in (First) Sitting Examinations for the academic year (2020-2021) according to university decree no.
